Greetings,

Thank you for subscribing to our news update service.

This month we have a number of exciting news: we are continuing our collaboration for the OpenPMF - DDS integration, received a market validation grant from EEDA, and have been invited to present at a number of events in the next couple of months. In particular, we will present several times at the RSA Conference & Expo 7-11 April in San Francisco, CA, USA.
And last but not least, we have consolidated the information on our webserver - feel free to have a look at our website.

Our upcoming presentations:

"How can we secure SOA without losing agility?" - RSA Conference 2008
ObjectSecurity will present a peer-to-peer session "How can we secure SOA without losing agility?" at the RSA Conference 2008, San Francisco, CA, USA, 7-11 April 2008. Abstract:
In this Ask the Moderator session, ObjectSecurity discusses how SOA security must go beyond web services security. The core issue is how to specify and maintain consistent/effective security policies for *agile* SOA. This cannot be done manually (too complex/labor-intensive). New approaches such as Model Driven Security are needed. Session topics incl. security stove-piping, how to reduce cost/effort, architecture approaches, experiences, secure BPM SOA." (P2P-205A, 9 Apr 2008, 1:40 PM - 2:30 PM).
***due to the popularity RSA conference has decided to re-run this session @5:40pm on 9th***
***we plan to also present at the expo with one of our customers - contact us to get more info***

“Rapid model-driven simulation/prototyping/testing of secure information sharing in distributed systems”, ITEC 2008
At ITEC 2008, Airport IT 2008, Stockholm, Sweden, 10-12 June 2008, ObjectSecurity will present “Rapid model-driven simulation/prototyping/testing of secure information sharing in distributed systems” at ITEC 2008, Stockholm, Sweden, 10-12 June 2008. Contact us to arrange a meeting.
. Abstract: Collaborative decision making and situational awareness depend on secure information sharing. However, often the immediate benefits vs. risks are unclear to the different stakeholders, and they cannot imagine the resulting new/improved processes. Furthermore, lack of security is often a show-stopper. To solve this, we have developed an inexpensive, model-driven virtual reality rapid prototyping, simulation, and testing environment. Secure information sharing and security implications can be rapidly prototyped and tested. We show a visual airport crisis scenario running across a distributed IT environment and how it can be used to prototype, demonstrate, and test information sharing and security.

"Airport operations optimisation through agile, secure IT integration", Airport IT 2008 (at ILA Berlin)
ObjectSecurity will present "
Airport operations optimisation through agile, secure IT integration, SESAR, SWIM-SUIT" together with Eamonn Cheverton, Enterprise Architect, BAA, London, UK at Airport IT 2008, Berlin, Germany, 28/29 May 2008. The presentation will cover the following topics:

  • Flexible, future-proof IT integration is at the heart of airport CDM (A-CDM/TAM): Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) and Business Process Model(BPM) driven IT managementManageable, good information security is a critical enabler for such integrated systemsThis presentation will discuss state-of-the-art approaches for secure A-CDM/TAM integration (including model-driven security)
  • The presentation will also provide an update on the SESAR undertaking, and on the SWIM-SUIT project

We will attend these events:

Passenger Terminal Expo 2008
ObjectSecurity will attend Passenger Terminal Expo 2008, 15-17 April 2008, Amsterdam, Netherlands.
